THANKSGIVING WEEKEND
NOVEMBER  22nd to 26th
Celebrate the holiday in New Orleans.  Have your Thanksgiving dinner at one of our fine restaurants.  It may well be one of the most memorable meals of your life.

To cap off the weekend,  join the Lady Buckjumpers for their annual second line parade.  If the past is any indication, the Grammy Award winning Rebirth Brass Band will be playing and marching with them along the uptown route.  We'll furnish our guests with a route sheet for the parade.

Whereas  Tom & Dana roll with the Zulu Governor's Krewe on Mardi Gras Day,  and whereas "Tuba Phil "Frazier of Rebirth is the 2018 Governor, we'll be second lining with them to show our support.

Caroling in Jackson Square - For most visitors and locals, this is the highlight of the Holiday Season in New Orleans. A holiday tradition that has been going on since 1946, Christmas Caroling in Jackson Square is a joyful, fun experience that thousands of people participate in every year.

Held on Sunday, December 18, Jackson Square is illuminated by hundreds of candles held by singers, both amateur and professional, crooning Christmas favorites that everyone is familiar with. The event is free and open to all who wish to participate, regardless of religious affiliation.

Candles and song sheets are provided, courtesy of Patio Planters, the event’s major sponsor. A nonprofit group dedicated to the horticultural beautification of the French Quarter, Patio Planters helps fund the event through monies raised by its Vieux Carre holiday home tours earlier on the same day.

The gates to Jackson Square open at 6:30 p.m. and the caroling begins at 7:00.
